Film Fiji’s Suva International Short Film Festival Returns This November!
After a two-year hiatus, Film Fiji is thrilled to re-launch the Suva International Short Film Festival, a remarkable showcase of cinematic creativity from Fiji and the broader South Pacific. Set for November 7th and 8th at Damodar City, this year’s festival is gearing up to be a vibrant celebration of the region’s finest short films, thanks to incredible support from local talents, South Pacific filmmakers, and a key marketing partnership with the Damodar City Group.
The Suva International Short Film Festival began in 2022 with the vision to foster and highlight local film talent in Fiji. With a return that has been highly anticipated, this year’s festival will spotlight a lineup of short films reflecting diverse stories, cultures, and perspectives from the region.
As submissions roll in from Fiji and neighboring South Pacific nations, Film Fiji and our esteemed panel of judges are committed to selecting and showcasing films that reflect our dynamic heritage and contemporary lives. The event promises a captivating mix of genres, styles, and themes—each film a unique reflection of the people and places that make our region so rich in storytelling tradition.

The partnership with Damodar City Group allows the Suva International Short Film Festival to expand its reach and engage an even broader audience.
