Celebrating Fijian Cinema – Film Fiji Supports Alliance Française’s Fijian Movie Night
20 October 2025

Fiji’s film scene continues to grow with exciting new stories, bold creative visions, and homegrown talent ready to challenge the norm. Two recently produced short films, “Radini” by Salote Cama and “The Feeding” by Adi Tulia Nacola, are shining examples of this new wave of Fijian storytelling.
Both projects were developed as part of a script submission competition organised by the Fiji Film Collective, with support from Video Factory. The initiative gave local filmmakers the opportunity to bring their creative concepts to life with professional production backing , helping bridge the gap between script development and screen realisation.
Salote Cama’s Radini delves into body horror, using visceral imagery and cultural nuance to explore identity, control, and transformation. Meanwhile, Adi Tulia Nacola’s horror short takes audiences into a world of psychological tension and mystery, adding a fresh voice to Fiji’s growing horror genre.
These projects mark an important step forward in local content creation, proving that Fijian filmmakers have the vision, talent, and courage to explore diverse genres and cinematic styles.
Film Fiji proudly supports initiatives that nurture such creative ventures and continues to encourage emerging filmmakers to push boundaries, tell unique Pacific stories, and strengthen Fiji’s position as a dynamic creative hub in the Pacific.
