Welcome to Film Fiji’s Training & Development Department, where we nurture and elevate the talents that drive Fiji’s dynamic audio-visual industry. Our mission is to empower local filmmakers, scriptwriters, producers, and production crew through targeted training programs, upskilling workshops, and international collaborations.

Through key initiatives like the Fiji Script Development Program (FSDP) and the Fiji Producers Accelerator Program (FPAP)—supported by the European Union (ACP-EU Programme – Pacific) and SPC – The Pacific Community—we provide specialized training that equips creatives with industry-specific knowledge, technical skills, and professional networks. These programs offer in-depth guidance in screenwriting, project development, and pitching, helping local talent break into global markets.

Through Film Fiji initiatives, we also support the upskilling of local film crew, such as the Financial Literacy Workshop held in Nadi in 2024 and a three-day Business Training in partnership with MCTSME in February 2025. More workshops for film crew are in the pipeline to be offered in the coming months and beyond.

By investing in Fiji’s creative workforce, we not only strengthen our local industry but also position Fiji as a premier filmmaking hub in the Pacific.
